I recently moved into a new home, and cannot receive wireless in all areas of my house. However I do have ethernet outlets in the bedrooms/office. Do I need to do something special to get these activated? I have a main box that has my modem (cisco) and I have a Asus router attached to that (I previously had a netgear, but upgraded thinking this would help). Any assistance would be appreciated!

What are the outlets connected to? Do you have a switch or a switch panel somewhere in the home? Might need to ask the landlord or who ever installed the outlets. What else is in the "box" with the modem and router? Is it something like this?
