Why are my emails edited by COX before they are forwarded?  Why are all of my received emails marked SPAM  if there is anything conservative or religious is in the Subject line?

It sounds like these items are being detected as being spam by our spam filters.  If you're in webmail you can use the report as not spam feature to request that similar items in the future not be marked accordingly.

Every email provider has filters.  They are not supposed to be looking for religious or political emails.  They are looking for links; and they look for extremely large mass mailings.  Have you sent out emails to hundreds of people at the same time? Do you include links in your emails?  You are allowed to do both things but they increase the chance of getting caught in a filter.

I told a friend about a suspicious link i had received. She asked me to email her a copy of the link..  Cox thought i was emailing that link as a spammer and marked my email as spam. I won't do that again.

I have seen this happen with other email providers as well. Sometimes it's not the content of the email that triggers the spam filters, but what email server the sender is sending from. Many religious organization are non profit, and rely on free email hosting for their websites email system. Because they are free, they are also used by malware bots and spammers and are often black listed. To check if your group is effected, try looking up the domain here.
