Occasionally when an update hit my box the volume would go off entirely. I'd reprogram the remote to control volume directly on the box and I'd just turn it back up. After one if the recent updates it looks like box volume has been removed. I've checked settings to make sure volume control is set to "variable" and still no dice. I've changed outputs to component and the volume comes back, but it's incredibly loud even with the tv volume set to a low value such as 3 or 4. I'm limited on component inputs on my television and I'd really like to have the box use an hdmi cable. Is there anyway I can have the volume control active on the box again?
