I've been having issues with getting disconnected and the techs have been out a couple times in the last week, but I still am having the issue. One tech suggested I confirm the firmware is current. the modem was purchased in Dec 2013 and I don't recall having Cox push an update to the firmware.
How can I determine if I need Cox to push a firmware update for my Motorola SPG-6782? I tried to go to the Motorola login page (http://192.168.0.1) and it doesn't accept the default login/password listed in the user manual I downloaded from Cox.

Thank you Chris. The password had been changed in the link you sent me. I was able to determine I'm on version SBG6X82-8.4.0.0-GA-05-809-NOSH. I will need to update my firmware, correct? I can't find a definitive answer online for the current version number.
