I use *60 to block unwanted calls from certain phone numbers. Today after i blocked a #, I heard the message"This phone number is already on your list". So, if a # is already on my list,, why wasn't the number blocked?

Yes, call blocking is turned on because I get a voice message when I dial *60. I am able to block the most recent call and the message is "the number you have added is...." However, today, I got the message "the number is already on your list".

Is it just happening with one number, or multiple numbers on the list? Try testing with your cell phone? If just one number, try removing the number and adding it back on? Also try turning it off/on? If that doesn't work you might need someone at Cox to look at how the feature is built in the "switch". Or it could have something to do with the caller ID data of the inbound call.
Did this happen around the time phone tools and call history changed on the website?

When you call *60 does the message say Selective Call Rejection is ON or OFF? If it's off you'll need to press 3 to turn it on, but you don't need to do this each time. While the feature is turned off you can still add numbers to the list, but the calls won't be blocked until you turn it back on.

Silly me, I did not wait to listen to "Call screen is now ON". Someone (i'll blame my husband, or course) must have accidentally pressed the "3". Thanks for your help.
