Another Motorola SB6121 issue

So from browsing the various threads that have been started, there seems to be a known issue with the modems. Mine is no different from the others from what I've read so far. At various times throughout  the day, the modem fails and will do this or a certain amount of time. Then resets itself. Then fails again.  Ive gone to the address.  192.168.100.1 and I can read the log but when the modem fails that log isn't functional. Can some one help?

Off the top of my head sounds like the modem is failing somehow.

1. What model modem do you have?

2. How old is it?

3. What does it say in the logs when the modem comes back?

4. What are the signal levels. Should say on the 192.168.100.1 page.

Its a Motorola SB6121 like in the title of my thread. It was bought this year.  When the log comes back up the log says everything is functional.

The downstream signal levels and SNR's are unaccecptably low which is likely what is causing the intermittent issues you're seeing.  I'd say it's time to schedule a technician to come troubleshoot further.

Is that something that Cox charges for because I wasn't always having this problem until recently.

If you have our Cox Service Protection Plan that would cover any inside troubleshooting fees that would normally arise.  If not, we cover everything outside up to the home and equipment inside provided by us and still under warranty.  In the meanwhile you could try checking all of your coax cabling for loose or damaged fittings as well as trying to remove any extra splitters possible to see if there is improvement.
