Cox to Yahoo to Google - NOT RESOLVED
I've noticed a long thread of customers experiencing the same issue I'm facing, and I need help. A Cox moderator marked the thread "Resolved" simply by providing a Yahoo support number, which doesn't address the core problem. I've been a Cox customer since 1999, using the same email address and forwarding it to my Gmail to take advantage of better spam filters, as Cox's filters are inadequate. With 25 years of email usage, I receive a significant amount of junk mail. Now, I've been forced to activate a Yahoo account, and I can no longer forward my email to Gmail unless I pay $5/month to upgrade. This is unacceptable—why should I pay extra on top of my already expensive Cox internet service? When I tried adding my Cox/Yahoo email to Gmail, I received server connection errors because Gmail doesn't recognize it as a Yahoo server due to the "@cox.net" domain. This leaves me with the limited option of using Yahoo webmail or adding the account to Outlook or the Mail app as a standalone account. This issue was entirely foreseeable and reflects poor planning on Cox's part. If I were the CEO of Cox, I would be deeply embarrassed and would consider firing the leader of this project. I'm now considering canceling my Cox service, but I don't want to lose my 25-year-old email address, which I should have transitioned away from years ago. Dear Moderator - don't post a Yahoo support phone number then mark this as "resolved" until there is a true resolution. What should happen is give us the Yahoo upgraded email at NO CHARGE so we can forward incoming email or migrate our mail back.100Views0likes3CommentsScreen Saver
I've had a COX screensaver appear on my TV set after 5 minutes for the the last three years plus ... No fail... Starting a week ago I now get a colored screen ( or black) with messages or the time and temperature. Is there something wrong with my TV? Will this leave an image impression on my TV screen. Damaging it? Or, is COX doing something we don't know about that they should explain. Many of us are not able to follow the directions that appear periodically and it worries me. Please advise! Why can’t I talk to a real person about this 2 day outage? The “support” line hangs up because “no agent can help” with the neighborhood outage. So I can’t talk to a human being. Two days? No storms - we’re in the desert! Must be outdated equipment. I will ask for a refund for all the days of the outage but that is little compensation for this. Such irony of the ads on the so called support line advocating “reliable” mobile phone coverage. It’s be funny if it wasn’t so outrageous. Held hostage!49Views1like10CommentsNot acceptable

I plan to watch House of Dragon on Sunday with my dad and now I can’t what is going on one time but twice in a row both weekends last weekend it was all weekend. And im paying 102. a month for this!? I have been with this company for over 20 years and this is unacceptable! You have given me no choice, but to find another Internet company7Views0likes1CommentFull Week No Internet
is anyone else experiencing this? just straight up nothing. State of Arkansas, city Fort Smith. I see others have intermittent issues but ours has been out constantly for days. Contacting anyone at all just states the technicians are working on it… No estimated time to return to normal. Just want to know if it’s just me or not.39Views0likes3CommentsCox to Yahoo email boondoggle...I want recompense
EST time - sometime, mid-day, the Yahoo servers started rejecting email login. That is with our usual Outlook client (which was working ok earlier). Then, I went to FF to login to Yahoo mail via browser, which we hate. No go. Kept getting Time Out errors, Yahoo server wouldn't connect. Spent a BP rising, 45 or so minutes with Yahoo 'support' via phone. After having to 'verify' my account - the account had nothing to do with connection issues, the (obviously not US based support person) finally acknowledged that Yahoo had a known issue...try back in a couple of hours. I then, stupidly I suppose, tried to question said support person on how I could get a credit for the down time, however long it might be. I'm sure my monthly 'Internet' portion of the Cox bill includes email...which Cox no longer provides since Cox has outsourced that to Yahoo. So...who do I go to to get a credit? The Yahoo 'support' person had no idea. I don't either. But I'll go down to the local Cox shop to see what they might have to say. Should be interesting.24Views0likes2CommentsOne of my accounts remains to be transitioned
I have multiple COX email accounts and several months ago I was told to transition two of them to Yahoo! Mail, which I did successfully. I have not yet received notice to transition my remaining account and would like some assurance that I will have a chance to do so and my account won’t one day suddenly disappear when Cox completely shuts down the service. I had expected the transition to be complete well before this time. Is the transition still under way and when is it expected to be complete? Is it possible to request transition now so that I can complete it at a convenient time and not out of town?36Views0likes2CommentsI have been a Cox 'customer' since 1994
I am doing all in my power to soon rid my self from their so-called services. email has already been off-loaded to a third-party. Just guess how support plays out. Channel selections are horrendous...unless you go for the woke, the broke. I have no interest in any of the sports channels - and before you go there, it's because I won't support overpaid and over coddled narcissists, not to mention the take a knee fools. Cox is over priced and under serviced. Time to cut the cord12Views0likes0Comments
