Cox has put DRM on all channels in Tulsa AGAIN
Six months ago, my Silicon Dust home Run stopped working on most channels because COX had suddenly flagged all channels with DRM except the locals A week after I queried this, things went back to normal. Now it's happened again. This is very frustrating. I can't see that its official policy because, if it was, they wouldn't change them back? But if its not official policy WHO keeps messing with the DRM settings every few months? Please change them back again. Cox must have a wealth of bad CableCARDS. I have a HDHomeRun Prime setup with both Media Portal and MythTV and neither can tune-in encrypted channels. ClearQAM channels come in fine. I have gone thru 2 cablecards and 2 tuning adapters but still no luck. A COX technician spent 4 hours at my home and accomplished nothing. I have read other posts on this forum and I am concluding that my problem is 1) a bad cablecard, or 2) a bad COX setup. The HD HomeRun Prime setup all looks good. The system log of the network cable adapter shows that I "subscribe" to the channels that I can not tune in. Media Portal testing on the channels that can not be tuned give me two types of error messages: 1) NO PMT found, or 2) Unknown error. I can not figure out the MythTV logs. But that system crashes when I tune to an encrypted channel. I am in the COX Phoenix, AZ market. Any suggestion will be appreciated.Solved4.6KViews0likes4CommentsHD Homerun Prime only receiving ClearQAM
