Issues with neighbors trying to get on network
I'm having issues with my wireless devices connecting to my network. Approximately 48 hours ago, our connection fizzled on my 3 laptops, 4 cell phones or game station can get onto our network. ( No these are not all on at the same time. ) I have already... Reset the connection manually Dry boot, unplugged all equipment from the power source and restarted. Ran anti-virus on all electronics, no issues found. I am using a new (less than a year old) modem and router purchased direct from Cox. Please help Elise Truss 401-XXX-XXXX Home (but cox so also losing service constantly) 856-XXX-XXXX Cell1.9KViews0likes1CommentService quality is very poor
For about a week or so, probably a couple of times an hour, my Internet connection "drops", and I'm left waiting for the resolving host to get data from the Internet. Pages don't load anymore, although after a minute or two I can refresh them. Is Cox doing maintenance or testing and not telling anyone? An email might be nice if that is the case. If not, I would like to get it cleared up as soon as possible. Alternatively, they can credit us a portion of our bill for not delivering quality service. Cox, your choice.3.3KViews0likes6Comments"Billable Service Call" on my bill for Cox's faulty equipment???!!!
I recently reported slow, unreliable Internet connection to Cox, who cheerfully set up a service appointment (without mentioning the possibility that we would be charged for the visit) to have a tech come out to our house. The tech told my husband that the problem was "probably upstream," in the "feeder system," but that our cable connector was "200 years old" and needed replacing. He replaced the connector, and left without mentioning any fee for the call. My latest cable bill shows that I am being billed for this "billable service call." To the tune of about $60. For real, Cox? Your "feeder system" can't meet local demand, and your outdated 10-year old equipment fails, and somehow that's MY problem? Cox's customer service leaves a lot to be desired. They will find a way to stick it to the customer, one way or another.4.7KViews0likes3Comments
