DVR 'resume' feature
In the past I have been able to begin watching a show on one TV then move to another location and complete watching the show from the other TV by selecting "resume" on the recording. Lately this feature is seldom available and the only way I can NOW move from living room to bed room (for example) to finish watching a baseball game is to make a note of where the game is at time wize then fast forward to that point to continue watching. CAN I SUE COX COMMUNICATIONS FOR BREACH OF CONTRACT BY ALLOWING A PERSON TO MAKE CHANGES TO MY ACCOUNT WITHOUT ME AUTHORIZING THAT PERSON TO MAKE CHANGES TO MY ACCOUNT? AND FOR NOT EVEN CONTACTING ME TO GET MY PERMISSION BEFORE ALLOWING THESE EXTRA CHARGES AND PURCHASES TO BE MADE BY THIS UNAUTHORISED PERSON? AND THEN WHEN THAT SAME UNAUTHORISED PERSON REQUESTED THAT A SERVICE BE REMOVED FROM MY SERVICE, COX DECIDES THAT NOW THEY ARE GOING TO REQUEST THIS UNAUTHORISED PERSON TO VERIFY THE COX ACCOUNT BEFORE THEY CAN MAKE THOSE KIND OF CHANGES?? SO BASICALLY THIS PERSON WALKS INTO A COX LOCATION, TELLS THEM MY ACCOUNT INFORMATION. TELLS THEM THAT HE WANTS TO ADD A CONTOUR BOX AND A MINI BOX TO MY ACCOUNT AND WITHOUT EVEN ASKING ANY QUESTIONS, COX WAS REALLY QUICK TO HOOK HIM UP. BUT THEN THE MINUTE THAT HE REQUESTS THAT THE SPORTS PACKAGE BE REMOVED FROM MY ACCOUNT, MEANING THAT COX WOULD BE LOSING MONEY BY REMOVING THE SPORTS PACKAGE RIGHT? ... WELL NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN THEY DECIDE TO ASK HIM TO VERIFY THE ACCOUNT PASSWORD AND TO SHOW HIS I.D. AND WHEN HE COULDN'T VERIFY THE ACCOUNT, THEY STILL PROCEEDED TO SELL HIM THE EQUIPMENT KNOWING THAT HE'S NOT AUTHORIZED ON MY ACCOUNT BUT YET REFUSE TO TAKE OFF THE SPORTS PACKAGE. FYI MY NAME IS THE ONLY *** NAME ON MY ACCOUNT. IT'S ONLY MY ACCOUNT. AND I HAD NO SAY IN THE CHANGES THAT HE MADE TO MY ACCOUNT WHATSOEVER. NOR DID I EVEN KNOW THAT HE'D GOTTEN THE EQUIPMENT. Obviously, Cox executives do not have dogs or they never would have approved a commercial that has someone ringing the doorbell not just once, but 3 separate times in 30 seconds. Seriously, Cox? Did Cox do this on purpose to aggravate their customers with dogs? It took me all of 30 seconds to realize that substituting a buzzer (or some other non-standard doorbell sound) would stop most dogs from barking. I know you probably spent a lot of money on the commercial, but it's hard to fathom that nobody there had the foresight to realize that dogs will bark EVERY time it comes on. Please stop running it. I would suggest that you ask for your money back from whatever marketing company made it for you, or ask them to make you another commercial - perhaps they will give you a discount. Here's some free market research - it is having the opposite effect that you're looking for; if I was going to order your product, I wouldn't just because of this commercial. Every time I have to tell my dog to stop barking, I am not paying attention to the commercial. And if I let him just bark, then I can't hear your commercial anyway. Yes, I can mute it, but A) the dog is already barking and B) if I mute it, I'm not listening to it, so it's not very effective in getting me to buy your product.5.2KViews0likes7Comments
