Is it possible to cast the contour app?
I have recently recieved service for cox and they offered basic cable at a minimal price so I accepted but in order to keep cost low I opted to go app only option. I believe from what I'm seeing it's impossible to watch this live tv on a smart cast tv because the apps do not download onto the actual tv, instead they download on to a device and you have to cast them to the tv. Am I correct in assuming I'm am out of luck because the cox contour app does not support casting.23KViews0likes2Comments
Using ChromeCast with a cox provided router.
I have a NetGear AC1900 C6300BD, and I'm trying to set up a new chromecast device on it. The problem I'm running into is a drop of connectivity, I can see it is connected to my home router when it first turns on, but about thirty seconds go by, the screen flashes and it is no longer showing as connected to my home network. At this point I am trying to disable the wireless AP settings on the router, as suggested by google. I can see that it's enabled inside of the advanced settings, but when I go into that band, there is no option for the wireless AP. I've tried to disable wireless isolation I have removed wifi security I downloaded the standalone app for the netgear box to attempt an update, it failed The wireless AP area on the router; under the Advanced tab, administration, loads but I can't seem to have any interaction with the information available here. Right now in troubleshooting the Wireless AP mode needs to be turned off. \ Halp?4.5KViews0likes1Comment
Cisco DCP3825 and the IGMP Proxy setting
I am trying to either enable or disable the Internet Group Membership Protocol (IGMP) Proxy on my Cox firmware'd Cisco DCP3852. According to the modem's help guide, it should be located in the Management tab under Administration. It is not visible. I believe the option is still available, but it has been hidden by the Cox firmware installed on the modem. Has anyone been able to find a way to enable or disable the IGMP Proxy setting? I'd really like to be able to use my wired desktop with my Chromecast. Elsewhere, If I absolutely have to, how would I go about requesting a different model of modem?4.5KViews0likes3Comments
