IP Security Cameras Disconnecting
I have four IP security cameras. When I upgraded to the latest Cox modem/router, two of the cameras seemed to struggle staying connected. I noticed they were the older cameras so I bought two replacements and set them up. They are all now the same version of camera and within range of the wireless network. But, the two that were working are now the ones struggling to stay connected. The two new new ones are always online. It seems like they have more trouble when everyone is home. Any idea what's going on here?659Views0likes1CommentUpload speed and static IP
Would it be possible to achieve faster upload speeds? I am currently getting around 30mbps upload. Every once and awhile I will setup a server for my friends and I to play on and it would be nice to have a higher upload. And my second question would be could I get a static external IP? I have a camera system I put up and like to access it from outside my local network but every once and a while it will change. Then I am no longer able to see the cameras on my phone and have to reconfigure my app to the new IP. Thanks for any input!3.4KViews0likes2CommentsTrying to Setup Remote Security PLEASE help
PLEASE someone in IT help! I purchased Samsung's SDR-3040 4 camera remote security system for my home. All the cameras and software have been installed and connected to my Netgear WPN824N router, I can view the outside of my house OK from my monitor inside. In order to access it remotely to view my home from anywhere, I was instructed in the manual to download the ipolis app from the play store onto my Android Galaxy III. After installing this, it asks me to enter from a drop down either the IP ADDRESS or DDNS, HTTP Port number, which the manual says is 80. I have entered numerous IP address which I got from my computer properties and from logging into the router. (Because I'm confused about which one to enter). But, I keep getting "cannot connect" message. I don't know what else to do. I also have to configure Port Forwarding by logging into my router, which the Samsung manual is poor at explaining. I can log into it but again I am unsure of what IP address to add. Samsung's support has been of very little help in assisting me. Any suggestions at all will be very much appreciated5KViews0likes4Comments
