This morning we got 3. UPLOAD on the other had hit 15 Mbps...go figure. Later we got 32Mbps DL speed. Computers and devices had been rebooted. Modem rebooted 4 times including a wait of 2 minutes between unplug and plug in. No change. This issue has been going on for a few years now, but no one really listens. Had a couple of techs come out on days it was working (THAT didn't help). As a tech myself, I know about where to look. It MUST be on the amp that feeds my local area. I know these things aren't cheap to replace (about $30K) so I have to wonder if Cox isn't dragging their feet on replacing it since it would take some time to get their money back here. As you can see the bonded channels in the upper freqs are an issue. It happens when the weather gets hot. Especially when the sun is going down in the west (possible heat related issue on the line equipment). Sometimes it happens when it rains too (connection is dry and covered at the house). I've changed modems only to see the same exact thing. I changed the cable inside the house too. When the service is good, all the channels are working and locked with QAM256 mod. After refreshing my modem info, I now see channels 9 and 10 have now gone from QAM256 to "unknown" with 0dB SNR. I hope an engineer will see this info and be able to troubleshoot. As I said before, this same issue, same channels, has been seen on two modems. So it isn't an in-house issue. I try not to be a complainer, but the issue seems to be long term. BTW, COX....GET RID OF YOUR CHAT BOTS and let us talk to REAL people that can think for themselves and pass on needed troubleshooting info to your techs. Anyone else seeing bonded channel issues anywhere?1.3KViews0likes4Comments
