Cox Security Software download?
Is anybody having trouble downloading the anti-virus software from the cox.com website? I'm having problems. The page just show a small crossed out circle where the picture of the product is suppose to be and the download button is not there where the instructions say it should be.2.9KViews0likes0CommentsI've got a bill with charges I have not asked for and have not received. Am I alone?
I just received a first bill... I have ordered Internet online and it should cost me $49.99 with ZERO activation fee. Cox promised it on their site. They stated that they prepared a self-activation kit for pick up at their location (without any fee). In fact I do not need any kit from them and I do not know what it is and even do not want to know what it is, because I do not need it. I already have all hardware necessary to connect to their network. I called to check the status of the order and to tell them I do not need any activation kit, they told me that everything is Ok and I could activate the service soon. I activated it successfully and everything was Ok until I got the first bill. They charged me for the "Intenet activation Kit" - $30. You remember, they promised it would be free. You remember I do not need it. You remember, I have not received it. They charged me for "WiFi Modem - Dual Band Rental" - $9.99. I did not ask them for any modems. I have my own modem. They have not provided me any modems. They charged me for "Equipment Deposit" - $25. What is it??? So I have one question. Am I just lucky, or this is just habitual for Cox? Is anyone had similar experience with Cox?2.8KViews0likes2CommentsTransfer account
I am moving to Texas where I don't plan on having Cox. I want to transfer the account I have in my name to my roommate (we share it anyway), however, I don't have a phone. How can I get this done? Or shall I just cancel the account and let him start a new one? I don't want him to have to pay that start-up cost when it's already working.10KViews0likes3CommentsCan't get Cox to successfully connect my new SB6120 modem.
cox costumer service and techs have failed to help me activate my new motorola sb6120 modem. Although they have said that the modem is broken and to return it, I've called motorola and have had second opinions from other techs and they've all said that the modem works fine, that the problem is from the ISPs end. Everytime i've asked cox to update my modem with the latest firmware and reprovision it, they refuse to acknowledge my questions and requests. there are a lot of people with this problem online, do any other cox users have or at any point had this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.8.2KViews0likes18Comments
