Cox SMTP server on SpamCop Blacklist
Hopefully, the right people (that care) will see this, as it is causing Cox initiated message delivery failures for anyone doing SpamCop BL lookups. Blacklisted SMTP server IP is 68.230.241.237. Other Cox SMTP servers appear to be fine, but I'm not going to go through all of them to check. We noticed this when one of our end users reported intermittent delivery failures from their Cox email account when trying to email their work account.http://www.spamcop.net/bl.shtml?68.230.241.237 00532 10:34:55.790 DNS Blacklist lookup: 68.230.241.216 is not listed in <bl.spamcop.net> - rcode(1) 00532 10:35:00.806 DNS Blacklist lookup: 68.230.241.237 listed in <bl.spamcop.net> Blocked - seehttp://www.spamcop.net/bl.shtml?68.230.241.237 From the header: Received: from eastrmimpo305.cox.net ([68.230.241.237]) by eastrmfepo201.cox.net6.3KViews0likes2CommentsInternal error with SMTP server
I have 2 separate Cox email accounts set up in Outlook 2013. The primary email associated with my Cox account receives email just fine, but I get an error message when sending: "Your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server has reported an internal error. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet Service Provider (ISP). The server responded: 554 eastrmimpo110.cox.net too many bad commands fr" I am using the following settings for the SMTP server: server name: smtp.cox.net Box checked for outgoing server requires authentication (use same settings as incoming mail server) outgoing server 465, SSL I have a secondary Cox email account set up in Outlook at the default account to send. I use the same exact server settings as above and can send with no errors. I need to be able to send from either account, so please advise what the issue could be.2.2KViews0likes3Comments
