PW8 usb hard drive connection to router
Hi everyone, I am currently under the 1Gb plan and have a PW8 router. The router does come with a type-c port and I am trying to connect a usb hard drive to it (16tb). Unfortunately, it has not been successful yet and the drive never shows up in Network. I am wondering if anyone has successful experience with connecting a hard drive to the router before or any suggestions on any troubleshoots I should try. Thanks!46Views0likes3CommentsExternal HD for Scientific Atlanta 8240HDC (The 2015 version of the proverbial question...)?
Hello! I've reviewed the forum for information regarding external HDs and haven't seen anything posted since 2013. Since storage has deceased in cost/GB and the HD recommended in 2013 (BUFFALO DriveStation Combo 4 2TB) is no longer available, thought I'd repose the query. In Oklahoma they still use the Scientific Atlanta 8300 and 8240 boxes. I just had a new (well, to me) 8240HDC installed to replace the 8300 whose tuner was fried by our bigstorm a couple of weeks ago. Does anyone know what 2 TB HD will work with the 8240HDC? Much thanks in advance!7.1KViews0likes14CommentsCan I Connect An External Hard Drive to 3925? How?
I have an older router that I planned to use with my new Cox connection so I could do back ups of my laptop and possibly access pictures/video/music but I went with the All In One solution and I didn't ask the tech about adding an external HD. There are 4 Ethernet ports so I am guessing it may be possible and maybe even possible to access pics, etc. via my TV but while I understand the concept I am no techie so if you do have a way be as specific "For Dummies" as possible. While it is highly unlikely to happen at my age I will consider naming any first born after you if I get the whole nine yards. [Insert annoying emoticon here.] Thank you. RD2.1KViews0likes1Comment
