VPN with or without DDNS
I am preparing to open ports on a router ( ( LUXUL ) for HTML access for a homeowners automation system. In the past COX has warned our clients that these ports need to be closed or service could be suspended. Cox has also shut down DDNS access from a remote location through their modems. Can you please advise the accepted way for my clients to access their home systems remotely.? These included CCTV , HVAC, Lighting etc. Some system use DDNS servers to track WAN IP changes and some do not. Also, I'd like to set a VPN so I can maintain these systems remotely. Can this be done? Up until the last year or so we did this on a regular basis, it's only since COX started offering these same services , have I noticed diffculties. Is there a connection?6.2KViews0likes3Comments
