Like all Cox customer's I was offered the Security Suite including online back up with mobile sync. In reading what settings the Android program uses it includes access to or the ability to modify a number of aspects of control like shutdown, etc. but also Your social information read your contacts modify your contacts Why? Cox is unlikely to have written the program but got something "Off the shelf." butCox can tell any developers that they have to respect Cox customer's privacy if they want Cox to offer their software to Cox customers. I guess this fall under a philosophical not technical question. Slippery slope and all. Thanks for listening.3.6KViews0likes1CommentOnline Backup for Android

Having issues of being unable to access my Cox email account from my Android phone, getting an error message that says: Cannot Safely Connect to Server. I have checked my Mobile / Secure Email Settings. My Incoming Settings are pop.east.cox.net, the port is 995, and security type SSL. My Outgoing Server Settings are smtp.east.cox.net, the port is 465, security type SSL. When going forward the following message is displayed: Setup could not finish Cannot safely connect to server. (java.security.cert.CertPathValidatorException: Trust anchor for certification path not found.) ........Exactly as stated in another user's question from 2/18/12.....and this has been happening to me the week of February 12 to currently as I send this February 20, 2012. Does the "east" need need to be removed from the Incoming and Outgoing Server Settings??? This is very inconvenient without any warning as a Customer. I see one other user / customer with the same issue. Any solution yet other than as mentioned in settings?Solved84KViews0likes5CommentsLog In issue with Samsung Skyrocket
I thought I forgot my password because my login in my email won't work. I went online in my desktop and my old login worked. I went to my Outlook and my login worked. I figured it is my email app in my Android so I downloaded CoxSync to test that theory but nope, my login failed in it as well using the same login I have on the cox.net and the same login on my Outlook. Is there an issue with the connection on Androids? Is this something related to my phone being infected somehow? What's going on!?2.5KViews0likes1CommentCoxSync for Windows 7 and Outlook 2010?
I just contacted support prior to installing CoxSync to check compatibility with Windows 7 and Outlook 2010 since they are not listed online in the CoxSync desktop app specifications. I was told it would work. It would not install on Windows 7, but I was able to install it in XP mode. However, Outlook 2010 was not available in the CoxSync program setup. Am I missing something? Is there a version available for Windows 7 / Outlook 2010? If not, will an upgrade be available before Windows 8 and the new version of Office are released?2.5KViews0likes0CommentsMotorola Droid Bionic getting incorrect User ID & Password error & Authentication error
Trying to get my boss's wife's Droid Bionic to receive email again. Has anyone received the error that says the User ID & Password is incorrect? She has re-entered the log-in & password correctly. Was getting emails up until late last week. Also keep receiving the Authentication error. I've checked the settings and disabled the View Certificate incoming & outgoing. Her incoming port is 995 and it's set with TLS enabled - I can't find where to set it to SSL on this Android. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!4.6KViews0likes2Comments
