I'm wondering if it's agaisnt the AUP to stream video data to the public. I'm not talking about streaming videos completely, but bits and pieces of a video, in a P2P fashion, kind of like how BitTorrent works where you download bits of a file from multiple people, but you're doing the same for a video stream. More specifically, hosting a Theta Network Edge Node. The Edge Node allows you to relay video streams over the Theta Network and earn TFUEL, providing support to THETA.tv and other upcoming video platforms using the Theta Network. With the latest update, you can now also broadcast your own video streams and have them distributed over the Theta Edge Network! This allows you to stream entirely peer-to-peer without any centralized CDN involved. I'm having the same exact issue. I have Gigablist with unlimited data. $180 a month and I'm getting constant lag spikes during non-peak hours (11PM-4AM). This is completely unacceptable. At this point I'm ordering Frontier Internet and canceling unlimited data and downgrading my Internet speeds because it'll be cheaper. Frontier is offering 25Mbps up and download in my area with no data cap.. I need the upload speeds for my camera system which uses a huge amount of my data cap so I'll also be able to remove that. Upstream Power Levels for Gigablast?
Hello - I've been having upload speed issues the last couple weeks (barely getting 1Mbps - occasionally shoots up to 7Mbps) Do these power levels look normal? There isn't much online, but the little I did find said these should be around the 45 dBmV range. I tried to reach out to chat support, but they had no idea what these power levels were. I've included my Downstream power as well. I have a Netgear CM1000 > Google WiFi > 8-Port Gb Cisco Switch > Hardwired PC (has not changed - used to be able to get 35Mbps speeds - and download speeds are 300-400Mbps still) No changes to modem location or wiring.
