Its worth noting that one tech deemed my aerial line as bad and said it was at least 10+ years old and from before Cox switched to digital. The next 3 techs said he was wrong and that didnt get replaced Re: Before you run PingPlotter or speed tests, do this! Those are from just now. The speed test checks out fine. Still packet loss and latency issues after hop 1 on ping plotter for Google and an Escape From Tarkov east coast server. The microsoft connection test in windows also reflects ~100ms ping and 2-20% packet loss. Sometimes it will say Teredo failed or server blocked. Those will go away if I run the test a couple of times bc even following all of the microsoft troubleshooting, everything checks out. Re: Before you run PingPlotter or speed tests, do this! In 24 hours itll probably do the thing where it drops to 10up and 10 down, I wont be able to connect to the modem and then Ill have to reset it. Re: Before you run PingPlotter or speed tests, do this! ahh Cox has 0 competition here tho, plenty of money in those pockets. I suppose If the node just got destroyed they might just go ahead with that split, no? Re: Before you run PingPlotter or speed tests, do this! So again I reset everything bc the speeds were constantly testing at like 10 up and 10 down. Couldnt even connect to my modem bc the connection timed out iirc. Same thing happened yesterday. Re: Before you run PingPlotter or speed tests, do this! Im willing to bet Ill end up buying a mobo, a new modem, a new router, a new switch new ethernet and coax, a new car, etc before we rule out my equipment. Re: Before you run PingPlotter or speed tests, do this! Ill send that when Im home Re: Before you run PingPlotter or speed tests, do this! nah Im constantly having latency and packet loss issues. Ive had 6 techs out and Ive spoke to the cox complete care advanced techs a few times. Theyve tested everything on my end numerous times and I just got the last tech to admit its probably node congestion, same with one of the adv tech support agents. Im sure Cox plans on just closing their eyes through this Covid bs and hoping they dont have to address the infrastructure issues. Re: Before you run PingPlotter or speed tests, do this! Arris said my upstream power was too low and not too high Re: Before you run PingPlotter or speed tests, do this! Sooooo can I send you my event log? lol
