ContributionsMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Cox Increases Fiber-Powered Internet Speeds for Most Customers I have a similar problem. My new service is listed as "Go Faster Internet" with a speed of 250 Mbps. Previously it was named "Internet Essential Classic" with a speed of 150 Mbps. I am getting the exact same speed as before-no change. Since the new speeds went into effect about a week ago I would imagine that Cox has not completed provisioning everyone to their new speed. Perhaps a Moderator would have more information on the topic. Re: caller id works on tv but not on phone The same thing happened to me recently. Try resetting the phone modem. I did that and now caller ID appears on the phone screen as well as the TV. Re: Substandard Cox TV Program Guide Change Nov 2020 Please see the post titled "Mini Box Episode Guide" that was started 3 days ago. There are some responses to the problem you are describing. So far no response from any Forum Moderators to explain why this is happening. Re: Mini Box Episode Guide No Bruce. There are some setting in the mini box, but no new option to select descriptions. If there are any moderators following this post, do you have any information on what is going on with this change? Re: Mini Box Episode Guide Hopefully, this is a temporary glitch. If not, it is pretty sad for Cox to do this. The mini-box guide was already bare-boned, only going out 1 day, not including all the channels that you may subscribe to. The price has been raised from $1.99 to $2.99 to the current $3.99 a month. Re: Last channel If the OP is using Contour 2, after pushing the Last button you have to push the OK button to return to the last channel. Re: Need to Sign in twice to see call history then can't log off. I am having the same problem-having to sign in twice is very annoying. I tried Feedback numerous times-no fix yet. Any moderators following? Re: Can someone on here perform a DVR recording test? Apparently the glitch is confined to the "Center Court" program on the Tennis Channel that is scheduled for 8 hours. There is a Center Court program that is scheduled for 2 hours, starting at 8 PM Pacific Time today that will program to record correctly. Strange. Re: Can someone on here perform a DVR recording test? coxprblms💯 The problem is not isolated to you. I tried to record the tournament last week--it lasted for 8 hours and only recorded 1 hour. The next day I went back and examined what was happening. This is a glitch in the Cox system. Just now I tried to schedule the same recording that the moderator Maria scheduled. If you do this you will see where the problem is. Set recording from the guide. Click record button on remote.Up comes a box with "Just this episode" selected. Click the OK button on remote. You will then see a box with "Confirm" selected. Do not click OK at this time. You will notice down below under Duration that it says 1 hour. This is where the Cox glitch is. Scroll down with the down arrow until you get to Duration. You will then see arrows appearing to the left and right of "1 hour". Click the right arrow and you will see that the duration changes to 2 hours. Keep clicking the right arrow until you get to "8 hours". This is how long you want the program to record. Then up arrow until you get back to where"Confirm" is selected. Click OK and your recording will be set to record 8 hours. If you want to confirm, go out of the guide, click on Contour, right arrow to Saved. Click OK. Down arrow until the tennis recording is selected. Click OK. On the screen that comes up you will see under "Details" 480 min, the duration of the scheduled recording (8 hours). Cox needs to address this glitch. It only happens on long recordings like this. Re: Contour 2 manual recording Becky: There is a way to set a manual recording in Contour 2, but it is not very straight forward. I discovered it by chance. Press Guide on remote. Scroll up or down or enter the channel # you want to record . Then left arrow to select the channel (white lines appear above and below the channel #). Press OK. Right arrow to Record and press OK. Down arrow to enter Start time, then Duration, then Date. Up arrow to Confirm and press OK.
