Initially found underground cable connector to junction box on house came apart on him when unscrewing from female barrel. Replaced that connector and the other end that goes to house. Signals was very strong but his tester wouldn't finish all the tests it kept locking up near the end. Tech moved to pedestal and noticed my connection to the house off the amp was hot. Ran his test there and seemed to make it through all of them. Ran temp coax across backyard bypassing the undergroundand that solved the issue no disconnects since. Cox will be back in 7-10 days to run new underground. I wish I would have came here before replacing my hardware that probably had nothing wrong with it lol. Thanks again your help was solid on this.👏 Re: random disconnects This was 4 minutes of down time no cycle power of anything came back on its own after that. Re: random disconnects I just emailed with all the information and a link to this post so we will see how it goes. Chat/Phone support just sends a strong signal and if its replies back good they will just blame hardware equipment like this last guy after I explained the exact same symptoms are on both the new and old hardware combinations lol. This is my only option for 1 gig service at my house but if the disconnect problems dont get fixed the 500 option from AT&T doesnt look so bad :) Re: random disconnects Its underground for sure I think it follows the back fence around up into the junction box. I have had 20+ T3 timeouts today in the log at different hours of the day. I will email them and thanks you rock happy gaming! Re: random disconnects I haven't had a technician out to the house in a long time since I have had no issues for several years. Re: random disconnects It is a direct female barrel connection in a junction box on the side of the house since I no longer have cable TV that runs directly inside to cable modem but goes around awning of the house then back inside. So should I attempt chat or phone support again and say I am getting T3 errors? The one local cox shop we have isn't much and would look at me like I am speaking a foreign language. Re: random disconnects Yeah man its hit or miss if I can complete a D4 dungeon without getting disconnected :) Re: random disconnects No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out;CM-MAC=*********;CMTS-MAC=********;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.1; Re: random disconnects I have not connected directly from modem to desktop. I will pay better attention to the next time is happens and see what logs say in reference to that time frame. Ive been at work all day and my daughters said it was happening all day off and on but no specific time. I see current stuff in the logs such as time sync fail, no ranging response received and unicast maintenance. Re: random disconnects
