Re: Cox agent confirms that they do throttle speeds My internet is down every night and they can't find anything wrong with my connection, so it's obvious that they are throttling my speeds. I've been lied to by customer service 3 times in the past 2 phone calls with them and yet you have the nerve to basically call the OP a lier? *edited by moderator Re: What's wrong with Cox support? Yeah I bet it's my wiring. It decides to take time off from 4:30/5:00PM through midnight every night. rotflmao But nice try, you may want to apply for a customer support job with Cox. With those answers you would fit in just fine. Besides that you are in another region than where this is happening. ;) Re: Internet drop I'll save you some time and let you know what these customer support idiots are going to tell you. Reboot modem, reboot router, run direct from modem, blah blah blah Doesn't matter what you do, their service ** now and they won't fix it. Best to move to another ISP if you have that option. The customer support at Cox has went to sh*t the past month because they don't have a f*cking clue how to fix their broken sh*t. ;) Re: Cox agent confirms that they do throttle speeds Don't waste your time with support. They won't do sh*t except schedule a tech to come out, then they never show up. I've been having the same issues for over 3 weeks now. Every night starting around 4:30-5:00 my internet slows down to nothing. Here's my last speed test and it's like this every night. I'm just collecting evidence to file small claims against them. It's obvious they have screwed something up in the past month and aren't trying to help customers out. Good luck with your issues. Re: What's wrong with Cox support? Thank God for the double speeds. Couldn't imagine what it would be like with half this speed! Keep up the good work Cox. Your support and new double speeds are AWESOME!!! Re: What's wrong with Cox support? Once again, was told they would be here on Tuesday after speaking with a tech on the phone. Typical, they never showed. I will be surprised if they show tomorrow as originally scheduled. And it's obvious these f*cking customer support idiots on this forum don't give a f*ck. It's all good though, more evidence to give when I file my summons. The more I'm ignored, the more it helps. ;) Thanks Cox. Your customer support is AWESOME!!! lmao Re: What's wrong with Cox support? Forgot to add, this is what I've been paying $75 a month for. Awesome work since you doubled the speeds. What's wrong with Cox support? What has happened to customer service at Cox? I used to brag about how good it was but here lately it's worse than talking to customer support from India. There's idiots all over the place and the new motto must be, "Don't know the answer, lie your **** off". I've been fighting issues for over 3 weeks with slow internet in the evenings. I contact you through email, forums and over the phone but yet you guys can't seem to keep scheduled appointments. Today makes the second appointment you have missed. After another hour plus on the phone the tech tells me she schedule someone for tomorrow. So I look at my appointments a few minutes ago and what do I see, Nov. 20th. OK, I'll break this down for the customer support idiots that may have missed out: Today is Monday the 17th Tomorrow is Tuesday the 18th The 20th is Thursday To top it all off is I asked for a mailing address for when I file small claims. The idiot gave me the address of our local police department. lmao I told her to quit giving me a bogus address and she stated that's the one I needed to mail my claim to. I proceeded to let her know that I live in a small town of 5000 people so I know that the address she gave me was to the local PD. Then she backtracks and gives me some PO box in Oklahoma. Who the f*ck knows if it's even real. lmao So can someone tell me when to expect my next appointment to show or do I need to go ahead and make an appointment to get (ughhhh) DSL hook up? Also what is a mailing address so I can send the small claims summons? (Sorry but the $40 credit doesn't come close to the problems I've had with Cox internet the past 3 weeks) I can send it to our local PD but don't think the judge is going to be impressed with Cox giving that as their mailing address. ;) Re: What's it going to take??? Yeah I'm to the same point at getting a downgrade to dsl. Thing that pisses me off the most is the fact that it's obvious there are problems on THEIR end but yet they give out the same bullsh*t answers of "Reboot modem, bypass router, blah blah blah. And the funny thing is since the double boost in speeds, I've never got close to what my original speeds were. lmao I used to love Cox for their support but these idiots don't have a clue wtf they're doing now! As for the tech, we live in a small community so more than likely it will be a tech that I now (or at least I hope so, because they have some dumba** techs that work for them here) so I'm not to worried about that. Hopefully they can clue me into wtf is really going on with Cox since it's obvious the support on this forum and phone can't help!
