My guess is the 1080 feed is the higher encryption DRM that the cable cards don't support. So it negotiates down to 720p. Enjoy it for now. It's going away. The "signal itself" is no longer compatible with our cable cards. Investigate that for us! Our cable cards use to have 390 channels and now they only show 30 local channels. I guess for now I can return the old junky hardware and save $5 a month and then just use the internet contour streaming app to watch tv on the computer.
