I do day trading sometimes and this is killing me the last 2 days.. Been out since yesterday at 930am.. While some of my trading can be automated and I can put my forex trading up on a VPS for that purpose other stuff I have to take action on either way and with the net down its basically a no go... Re: Gigablast download speed issue Yeah if you want decent speeds your best bet is going to go buy a new cable modem you own.. When I got Gigablast upgrade the panoramic modem they supplied wouldn't give anymore then around the same speed you mention at the modem (speedcheck showed similar results when they had a tier 2 tech crew come out it was 900-950Mbps there were getting at the connection outside and they re ran the cabling to the house even and couldn't understand why they couldn't get more then 400-500 on their network analyzer at the modem) amazingly I went to Best Buy and bought my own Docsis 3.1 modem and suddenly yep sure as heck speeds went up significantly where my higher end router could speed check and even during busy times I was getting in the 800Mbps range and at night Id hit 900 or so..So the tech likely was full of it.. Go buy your own modem that listed as supporting gigablast (I agree we shouldn't have to because cox should supply hardware worth something to its customers but ya do whatcha gotta do sometimes). What in all that is holy have yall done here in NE Mesa?? Internet and apparently everythingelse has been broken for over a day now... Latest update on cox com app and my text message update says expected resolution by midnight.. That will make it almost 48hrs.. (yesterday we were told maybe around 2pm then 4pm and then kaboom yall had no idea when it would be resolved) I cant believe this has been a fail on such a significant scale and it keeps making it sound like yall don't know what is going on still.. (My Neighborhood is Power near 202 Red Mountain freeway area). Saw a Cox van driving around neighborhood late last evening. But seriously after we had sporadic issues with reboots at odd times on cable modem and then 3 outages this last one the most severe obviously but previously it was several hours and the only thing I can get from @coxhelp is well they think theres a line noise issue but that doesn't seem to be much of an answer.. additionally Id like to know what kind of billing credit we can expect due to this major outage issue and yes there had better be one to all of us affected by this..
