I have been trying to get this no robo call thing to work and after two days of trying, it still says my phone isn't protected, so I guess I may as well give up. I have called the help line and it still doesn't work.
Have you tried these instructions? If so, where are you getting stuck?
I have done all of this and I still get the message that my number 520-3XX-9XXX is not protected, so I give up.
[EDITED]
Perhaps simultaneous ring isn't available in your market (Tucson).
I received a letter from Cox saying I could do this, but, you know it doesn't matter. I am disgusted with fooling with it this much. Thank you anyway.

I've never said that I didn't want to follow the instructions. I've tried at least 10 or more times and it just simply don't work, and yes, I do know how to follow instructions!
What specifically says your number is not protected...Cox, Nomo?
Did you test via Nomo?
What did you enter as your Nomorobo Number?
I was told to enter my land line number. Is that not the correct number to use?
When you subscribe to Nomo, you'll have 2 numbers. Your telephone number at home (Cox) and Nomorobo will assign you a number
If everything was working during a telephone call, Cox would not only forward the call to your home phone...but also Nomorobo. That's the simultaneous ring. You and Nomorobo get the call.
You should review both accounts (Cox and Nomo) to ensure the correct numbers.
I don't use Nomo and not familiar with the Simultaneous Ring setup page under Cox Phone Tools.
This was a real-user test of its functionality. In your Step-4 above ("Enter the desired phone number(s)..."), is that your paraphrase or the actual instruction?
That step may need to be reworded to avoid confusion. "Desired phone number(s)" sounds like numbers for my landline, cellular, fax, etc.
