Cox WiFi app out of sync

I just set my new modem/app up yesterday and established bedtime for my kids devices. Yesterday, as I was monitoring my kids behavior, it didn’t seem to match what the app was reporting. Then, I receive a message at 5am telling me my son has been on the network for 2.5 hours already today, during established bedtime. However, the app shows zero activity for him. I verify he has in fact been sleeping. Anyone else have issues with the accuracy of this thing?
