The voice command is handy to get to say, the Netflix app, so you don't have to dig through a menu (a lagging and non-intuitive menu, at that!). Compared to the Record 6, the Contour 2 is ridiculously slowchanging channels, and even powering on the box itself (it buffers with "Connecting to Live TV"), which, I can't believe in order to power off the box, host or client, you have to press the button on the box! And on my host, if I manually power off the box, and then press "Power all", only the box and my TV power on -- not my soundbar. It's a glitchy and slow Comcast clone. Thank goodness I got my Record 6 boxes back today. While those were sometimes a bit "skippy" with audio (and recently video, which I've read, is something affecting a lot of Cox users just of late), at least they work "smoothly" and are as instantaneous as you can get. I ranted about the missing features and performance in the Contour 2 in another post last night. In fact, just joined this forum after being a Cox customer for 18 years, because I was so frustrated with the time and effort I wasted switching to Contour 2, and today, switching back to Record 6. Sorry if I hijacked your post! Just frustrating. Re: Contour remote channel select Yet another reason why I'm switching back to Record 6 today (about 2 "pros" to Contour 2, and about 12 "cons" - no joke - so much functionality and performance is missing in Contour 2) "Save" button in Account Settings not working (tried Chrome, Firefox, and IE) Just joined the TV forum last night, and this morning, I'm trying to edit my notification settings. "Save" button does not work. Changes I make in Settings are not "saving". I can tell the button is not working as I click it, and it changes color, but it does not submit anything. Tried on each tab in "Settings". Tried Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Internet Explorer 11. Guess it's par for the course. Contour 2 - disappointed how many features that were easily available in Record 6 are missing Had Record 6 with 3 receivers for about 3 years. Started having audio and video skipping and freezing, so swapped to Contour 2 on advice from Cox tech. Like taking a step backwards. Voice control is gimmicky (like Siri on my iPhone which I rarely use) Picture and audio are definitely degraded from Record 6 boxes on my 4K 65" with soundbar. I've played around with ALLthe video and audio settings in the Contour 2 menus, and I can't get it back to the quality of the Record 6 (and I have an Apple TV and Blu Ray player that are still working great with my current TV and soundbar settings, so I definitely don't want to mess with those settings). On Demand video and audio quality are even worse. Video stutter, and audio not synced. I can also no longer program the remote to control my Apple TV (old Record 6 remote controlled 4 devices: cable box, TV, soundbar, and Apple TV). Have to press "ok" after entering a channel. Guide no longer has a thumbnail video. "Last" button no longer just takes you to last channel - have to see and scroll through your last 10 channels. Volume button on remote is in an inconvenient location. Clock display small, and is either too bright, or not bright enough, from those settings. NO CLOCK on receiver boxes. So far, I'm at 2 thumbs down, and seriously considering switching back to Record 6, as long as they are still available. Re: Spam I am getting the exact same since yesterday, 12/06, which I see lcf's post was from then, as well -- thought my credentials were compromised, so I changed my password first -- but have received about 5 or 6 more so far today, and after looking at the headers, mine are also originating from this "dinaserver.com" -- isn't there a way you guys at Cox could address this? SPF record edit? Or report the abuse on our behalf? Thanks
