Tuning Adapter - Is it still needed for Tivo?

Cox San Diego discontinued all of the 1000 - 1950 "HD" channels.  (CBS 1008 = 8, for example)  Does this mean that there is no longer a need to use a Tuning Adapter for Tivo? thanks for any info.

Hello Phil. Excellent question. You will still need a tuning adapter to enjoy our services with a Tivo, -Allan, Cox Support Forums Moderator.

    Thanks for the info, Allan.  I won't delete my monthly iPhone reminder, "Reboot Tuning Adapter" I guess.
