Slingbox 500 and pace contour box

I am trying to setup slingbox 500 with my contour box.  I was successful in hooking it up and viewing it with the Slingbox app.  My problem is that I cannot view live tv on my television.  It says no signal.  Also my contour remote won’t change the channels or allow input change.  Any ideas?  I have the red white yellow connections.
