Is Cox offering channels devoted solely for the Olympics this year?

In addition here is a nice TV schedule for what's on daily...
colleen,
can you tell me why i can't get authorized to watch http://stream.nbcolympics.com/figure-skating-mens-short-program? or other ice skating streams?
it says it requires a "simple one-time authorization process." in other words, i have to prove i pay SOMEBODY to watch anything. but of course with cox...nothing is "easy!"
i select cox, i even managed to get it to stop automatically loading user name & password so i could make sure it's the correct password (having changed it 15 times in the last 6 months...remember me from the internet and apps forum?) which i typed in myself.....the same combo that allowed me to post here! and it just won't "take." the cox page flipped out 2 or 3 times then it took me back to the nbcsports page where it still says "verify now."
oh, and i can't live stream either.
i thank them for bringong home the point that i'm not getting what i pay for tho. i wasn't aware! :)
So. I am chopped meat?
No response. Like the olymics last forever.
i cleared cache & cookies. i also tried i.e. which said sls(sp?) is not supported on your browser??
neither will let me watch it.
AND my bill for all this fun is going up by $11! isn't cox just the best!!???
and yes ii HAVE complained about the price increases. we are retired (can any one tell me what a pension is???) so now you'll probably lock this post too.
IT'S OUTRAGEOUS AND IT NEEDS TO STOP!
if i was getting what i was paying for i wouldn't mind so much. but i'm not!
check my "tickets" for the last 7 months.
Hi Socal,
I'm sorry that you're having problems with the authentication process at http://www.nbcolympics.com. It isn't Cox that requires folks to prove they pay for TV content. NBC and all the other network TV broadcasters require that folks prove they subscribe to their content. Per the FAQ on http://www.nbcolympics.com/watch-live:
Authentication supports our ongoing investment in sports programming for all of our platforms and is consistent with industry trends. Digital platforms require significant investment, and authentication allows us to capture the value of that investment, which in turn allows us to continue to provide cable/satellite/telco/live streaming service customers with high-quality sports coverage wherever and whenever they want at no additional cost. Of course, NBC Sports continues to make premier live sporting events and other sports programming available to all viewers on free over-the-air television through the NBC broadcast network.
Is Chrome your primary browser? Are you trying to access NBC Olympic content on a computer or a mobile device? If so, which device? Does your device meet the NBC’s device and operating system requirements listed below?

Yes, chrome is my preferred browser and it just updated a week or so ago. I'm on a Mac desktop, partitioned to run win 7. I don't think any of that conflicts.
