Looks like Cox in Omaha will be all Mpeg4 video by the end of January

looks like Omaha is going all Mpeg 4

    This is old news and I'm surprised your area still had MPEG2 programming.

    MPEG2 looks better but MPEG4 has less bandwidth.  However, via a cable box, most people can't tell the difference between the formats.
