A national TV network like ION TV can be dropped from a specific market while still being available in others. It may occur as the result of a carriage dispute between a provider and a broadcaster. When a contract expires, the channel can be dropped from the provider's lineup in that market. Also, if a local affiliate requests exclusivity of a network within their market area, cable providers are required to drop out-of-market affiliates of the same network. In which Arizona market are you located? You could contact the local TV station that carried ION TV in your market area and ask them for information about it.
