DVR playback

Apologies...this may have been asked 1000 times but I'm just kinda pissed so far......I've noticed during playback that one episode had absolutely no sound for the entire show and several other recorded shows the volume disappears ever 30 seconds or so.......any advice.......Direct TV pissed me off for their cost, but never had this issue......
