Disable MOCA in DVR

I have a GSX9865 (Cisco Explorer 9865HDC) DVR. I do not have Whole Home DVR. Is it possible to somehow disable the MOCA built into the box? It is causing my MOCA 2.0 network to operate at what I believe are 1.1 speeds. When I disconnect the DVR, it speeds up to expected speeds. They immediately lower when the box is connected again.

Or, if I use a POE/MOCA filter placed somewhere in my setup, could that exclude the DVR from my MOCA network so my 2.0 adapters can operate at full speed?

  • Hi Sir_Raath, you are correct. Adding a POE/MOCA filter should allow you to separate the DVR from your MOCA 2.0 network. -Becky, Cox Support Forums Moderator
