Contour 2 receiver XG1
Contour 2 receiver XG1 has a hard drive inside. What is on it, who accesses it, is it necessary, can I access it? Can I get the Samsung XG2 without a hard drive instead?

In addition to a receiver, the Arris XG1v3 is also a DVR. If you want DVR service and to locally store your recordings...as opposed to Cloud Storage...the drive would be necessary.
The Samsung XG2v2 doesn't have a hard drive.
