For the past week during the day my cable is completely out and the screen says I need to check cable wires and reset box. I have done this numerous times to no avail. At around midnight the cable just comes on like there was never any problem. Does anyone know what is happening?
Do you have Internet service and if so, does it also go out? Cable box overheating? Do you have splitters on the coax? If so, what does a visual inspection of the splitters reveal? Have you removed the wall plate of your coax for the possibility of additional splitters? More splitters, more problems; older splitters, newer problems.
Do you unplug the cable box or reset the cable box from your Cox account?
