ARE YOU REQUIRED TO HAVE COX INTERNET TO ACCESS NETWORK TV ?

I have internet yet tono cable service, is cox cable (contour)  required for me to watch network tv like nbc or abc programming? every time I try to access i get error message

    What's the make and model of your cable-box?  I'm curious if it's the streamer.

    What error do you get trying to access NBC or ABC?

    you need to have a paid cox tv subscription it' s not free for internet  users
