It usually takes several exchanges to figure out what your issue is. I understand your voicemail works.
If 'Voice Mail' is On, calls will go to voicemail after your phone rings the number of times selected in 'Configure Rings'. * The fact it continues to ring indicates the setting isn't working for some calls. Until your phone stops ringing, calls won't go to voicemail.
Find a computer and re-cycle "Configure Rings'. If that doesn't fix it, contact cox.help@cox.com and report your 'Configure Rings' issue.
* If 'Do Not Disturb' is On, calls will go directly to voicemail without your phone ringing at all.
