I know but it's the thought that counts -eh? My guess is that this is a side effect of the transition work with the phone system- (going VOIP?). My beef is that Cox won't communicate this type of thing... in one moderator's words, "privileged information". I appreciated the honesty but this is the attitude of Cox... and likely every other cable company toward the customer for whose business they do not need to compete.
FWIW the problem has NOT happened this evening. When it was occurring I could usually bring up Voice Tools by repeatedly refreshing the page... it's almost as though the promotional page automatically showed instead of a time out or connection reset by peer error.
