Hi Becky, Thanks for your response. The set-up is working as you say and I get a message saying that nomorobo is set up and working properly. However, with nomorobo on - voice mail is not working! When I call my house phone (with nomorobo on) I get one ring signal and then a tone from a fax machine - no voice mail!
Hi RuneJ, log in to Cox Phone Tools online (phonetools.cox.com) or sign into the Cox Voice Everywhere app and go to the Simultaneous Ring settings. Is your home phone number displayed along with the Nomorobo number? If not, add your home number, click Add, and then Save. Then try another test call to your home and see if the call rolls to voicemail on the third ring. -Becky, Cox Support Forums Moderator
Hi Becky, The only number shown for simultaneous ring is the nomorobo number. When trying to add my number it says: Home phone will ring for incoming calls by default, only additional numbers can be set up for Simultaneous Ring. BUT - my number is now shown as protected by nomorobo and it seems to work. I think I may have received the one signal and then the fax tone only after doing my first test call to my home number from my cell phone after having made the nomorobo set up test call. Maybe it needed some time to take affect. I'll leave nomorobo on and monitor my voice mail for a while. I'll get back to you if voice mail gives up on me again. Thanks for your support!
