Keeping phone number
I just signed up for Cox cable Internet and TV. I would like landline phone service, when I asked at the Cox store, I was told my number would not port over, why?
Yes, it's a landline number that I've had for more than 30 years. I had Cox service with that same number about 8 years ago. I switched to Verizon after that and again kept that same number. Now Cox is saying it can't be ported over, I can't understand why? I asked Verizon if they are not releasing the number, they said they are not stopping it.
