Your suggestion of hooking up to computers will never be done by 98% of people over 65.
My suggestion is superior to anything mentioned herein.
You sound like a Cox employee.
You're not 98% of people. You're 1 person. Connecting a computer is easy. If you'd like, I could easily explain how. If you won't do it, please spare me the effort to explain.
I'm not a Cox employee. I control who can ring my phone.

You're only one person, and are not over 65. You are completely out of touch with seniors abilities with computers. Please stop trying to speak for them. You haven't a clue!
You can't control who rings your phone. You whined throughout this thread about receiving unwanted calls.

Let's put it this way: I remember watching the Moon Landing when I was a kid. My Mom is almost 90 and I walk her through computers every week.
You caught me. No...the spoofs aren't ringing my phone because they're being quietly blocked. However, it was easier to explain your frustration than writing "why is my call-blocker still silently blocking these calls?"
Although I control who rings my phone, I just don't feel STIR is an effective tool. It's another flop.

Sorry, I won't take the time to educate you on your erroneous posts any further.

Hello Bruce, Could you care to give more information on the required software and setup information ( a Web page URL ) on connecting a computer as mentioned in your post, Thank You.

I would gladly help but I think it should be a different post. This was about the effectiveness of STIR. Perhaps "Call-Blocking Recommendations" in the Phone Forum.
