Cisco DPQ 3212

On January 10 the Cox tech installed the phone upgrade with the Cisco DPQ 3212 Modem. Cisco's web site shows that this modem is obsolete and does not support it anymore. Why are you installing obsolete equipment? Also the battery that came with the unit will not charge.
