Wireless Contour Stream Player (Cox TV) usage is being counted towards my Data Usage

I realized today that Cox is counting my Contour wireless usage (Cox cable TV) towards my Data usage cap. Got an alert yesterday that I have used 75% of my data and I still have 10 more days left in ...

The Contour Stream Player is an online streaming device only and therefore isn't considered a TV product offering such as traditional Contour video services. Not sure why the link isn't working but try this one: https://bit.ly/2YLhyoF

Not correct Chris. I actually got a call from Cox' Executive Customer Support Dept. today and the person I spoke to confirmed that watching regular TV on Contour 2 does not take up my data. If I using apps from Contour 2 to stream other services then yes, I am using data. If I am watching TvGo content, then also I am using data. If I am watching TV from watchtv.cox.com while at home using wifi, then also I am using data. There's much confusion about this at Cox support dept. But I was glad to hear someone from Cox saying with confidence that watching regular TV on Contour 2 does not takes up my data.
