What's with the daily outages?

So for the past four days the internet goes out around 4 pm until around 1am in the morning. Prior to that it would go out at least once a week for the past month.  Is there's some sort of scheduled outage going on for the past few days?  If not, I'd just like to say I had hoped for better connectivity standards in Vegas. I've have better internet in rural Alabama.
