Thanks for the tip. Odd thing is couldn't find any documentation on it. Maybe it's only a option in the older gateways? Everything I find online says it's not possible. Maybe they just meant via the Panoramic app? Can you find the option there? Does it actually work?

Maybe, it seems like they are trying to direct people away from changing the settings directly in the modem. However, in my experience a url blocklist is a basic feature of any modem. You shouldn't have to download extra software to limit what the hardware is designed to provide. Everything I dug up said it wasn't possible too. I just explored the UI until I found what I was looking for. As far as the app goes, I can't say. I didn't delve into that side of it. Thanks for the link to the other post.
I think you mean router when you say modem, but yea, same thing since the gateway is a modem/router combo.
What software do you mean? I didn't notice anyone mention software. Wouldn't software only block the website on that computer and not the network?
Also, be warned if you are using this for parental control for kids. There are lots of ways to get around it and kids are usually sneakier and more technical then their parents. You don't want to start a arms race between you and them. Using parenting methods and skills is a better solution IMO then a technical one.
Nope, I meant modem. howtogeek.com has a good explanation of modem vs router. Restricting the data at the modem keeps it from entering your local network (unless you are using a bypass via the MAC address filter).
You mentioned "Maybe they just meant via the Panoramic app," this third-party software isn't necessary because the modem's native software already has this capability.
The purpose of a blocklist is to remove temptation. If you can't trust your children to use the tools you make available to them responsibly, then they are not ready for that tool.
