Switch units

Hi there, I just started service on 12/27 for Unit #2027 but I am moving tomorrow Friday 1/3 to the same address just a different unit which will be #1051 how can I switch that account and can I keep the same box for WiFi? I literally just plugged it in last evening. Please tell me what to do about this issue. Thank you

      Don't use chat. They are outsourced contractors.  You are lucky if they even understand English. Instead, call Cox the number below.

    Most MDU accounts have the modem(gateway) assigned to the account and isn't usually changed. Not saying it's technical impossible, but it's not the procedure. Why would you want to transfer it though? Can't you just use the gateway that comes with new unit? If you transfer the old modem to the new unit, the people moving into the old unit won't have a modem to use.
