Slowed internet 100 to 30

We have the 100 mbps plan and I ran some free internet speed checks when we first upgraded and was very satisfied. We had mbps right around the 100. About 1 month in we are only receiving 35 mbps tops and nothing has changed on our end. Do you know why this Is? I don't really enjoy paying for 100 when I could go back down to 30 mbps and actually get what I'm paying for.

    Are you connected to a wireless router? If so, I am showing that your modem is connected to a router that only allows for 100 Mbps (through an ethernet cable). That usually indicates that the router is an older model and the wireless portion of it will not typically perform up to those type of speeds. Running a speed test with an ethernet connection direct to the modem would be best in order to see if the modem is performing properly. I did not see any type of packet loss to the modem when I tested it from here though.

        Don't bother people with facts, it just makes them cranky. ;)
