Was this a rant or did you want to troubleshoot? Either one is fine, but if you want to troubleshoot what model modem/gateway do you have and when you lose service, what lights do you lose on on the device? Finally, if you log into Cox(from another internet source) during the outage do you see you are in a outage? See here for more info.
